STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

To developed and encourage theatre groups with in Gippsland area.

1. Providing a forum for community groups within Gippsland region.

2. Encourage member groups to achieve the highest standards of production and performance.

3. Encourage the sharing of skills and facilities amongst member groups.

4. Fostering communications between member groups.

5. Encourage widespread attendance at productions presented by member groups.

6. Provide training opportunities for local performers/personnel in a variety of aspects of theatre-craft.

7. Actively foster theatre for young person’s within the Gippsland region.

8. Sponsoring an annual awards program and ceremony to celebrate the achievements of member groups.

9. Provide the necessary infrastructure (e.g. judging panel) to the awards ceremony and provide helpful peer feedback to member groups and their productions.
